Today was a funny day. I rode for 8.5 hours, burned off 2 full tanks of gas, traveled almost 500 miles, but ended up only 125 miles from where I started. I saw this sign, had to make a u-turn a 1/4 mile down the road, and come back to check out all of these bridges. There weren't any, it was just the name of the development. False advertising if you ask me!

I had stopped at the CHP to ask about some fires and road closures and when I got back to my bike, this dragon fly was mating with my CB antenae. Out of respect I looked the other way............after I took the picture :)

I think this is why they call it the golden state.

Hope these bring some sunshine to you day

I see a lot of this in rural America. Our country could sure use it about now.

I'm thinking I am going to find a way over the coast range on this road. I didn't, it turned to gravel after about 25 miles. I did try my ABS brakes out on the gravel.

This cemetary is way out in the boonies. It sure seems that people showed a lot of respect to those that passed away back then.

There seems to be millions of acres of what appear to be wild oats.

There were a lot of these ranches, all with cattle milling around

A few homesteads with a pickup parked nearby

They were all part of the same ranch according to the signs posted at each location.
