| I stopped by McMinnville to visit some dear friends of mine. About 10 miles out of town I realized that I had forgotton to take their picture. Luckily, my son is an artist, so he drew one for me. |

| These are lava flows. The whole Cascade range is vocanic and they go on for miles. I walked out on this one to take the pic. It is very rugged and hard to walk on. I can't believe that when I was in my early twenties I used to hike a 1/4 mile every day to get to my favorite fishing hole on the deschutes and thought it was nothing. I hate geting old! |

| I don't know exactly how deep these flows are, but I have been in some lava tubes (caves) that have rooms at least 30' tall. Always full of bats. |
